About The Event
The Symphony Of New Orleans will be performing a concert in our regular venue of Christ Church Cathedral on Tuesday February 25th, at 7:30pm (doors open at 7:00)!
This concert features our old friend, Florence Price, an African American composer who you may remember from the New Orleans Volunteer Orchestra's final concert: Song of Hope. This time, we will be performing her Symphony No. 4, which takes inspiration from several spirituals.
We will also be performing the Violin Concerto of Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, a Black English composer best known for Hiawatha's Wedding Feast.
